Wow that's insane. The only difference for mine is that all of the smog equipment is in place, functioning and M112's and M113's are ULEV.

I spent an hour when I got home yesterday calling a bunch of different smog shop's that have ref's come in for specialty circumstances. One didn't know what he was talking about but the others were pretty damn helpful. I was using the whole "what if my engine turns out to be a year older" type question and they all said ultimately it's up to the ref, but if the emissions equipment is the exact same, and it was installed well, then there probably wont be a problem. 2 of the guys said they more than likely wont get a year from it unless I give a donor VIN, which I don't have and turns out is a good thing.
