Yes, the amp draw on very cold seats is too high and the system will fault. Usualy at about 10 Degrees F or lower.

This problem usualyy goes away after your butt warms the seat a bit. Kinda silly yes, but with the small battery I guess the designers wanted to prevent overload when the driver turns on the two seeta heaters and the window defrosters at the same time.
