Hi all,

I was hoping some knowledgeable souls might be able to assist me with the following issue:

Car is a '04 Coupe, Automatic with 80,000 miles.

My issue is that the hazard lights aren't working at all. When I press the hazard button there's no sound, no flashing, nothing. The indicators (flashers) are working fine and all the relevant lights flash when I lock / unlock the car.

I suspect it might be a relay issue but I honestly have no clue about it. All of the information I can find relates to the hazards working but the flashers not working so I'm a little stumped. I left it in to a garage to get the trunk fixed up as I had the stuck trunk issue but the mechanic doesn't want to go digging around behind the centre console and hazard control module apparently due to the location of an airbag / airbag sensor (?).

Has anybody experienced this issue before, or would any of you be able to offer any insight as to what the issue might be?

I should also mention that I have a '97 SLK 230 that I can cannibalise for hazard module parts if they'd fit, so if that's an option I'll gladly go for it.
