So… First try at the state smog referee………PASS! He said he's never seen such a clean install and loved it. We had tons of time to talk considering it was an hour and a half inspection and he asked why?, I told him, it's never been done, and I got 32 to the gallon on the way there. He said, "geez, more power, better emissions, and better fuel consumption… You can't beat that!"

I told him 2005 SL500 engine, and we had to pull out my Star DAS WIS for parts diagrams because his were flawed but it was all settled and he was an awesome guy. I should have failed because of my makeshift exhaust manifolds he said, but they were using OEM pieces and there were no leaks, plus he understood how the originals wouldn't have worked after I showed him pictures. All in all, great experience, great guy and since no one passes their first "engine change, smog ref inspection", I was extremely happy.
