Sorry to disappoint, they're cars. This is the first time I've found a photo of the Bugatti Veyron straight on from the rear. Doing a little Wiki reading it appears as if the two designs were happening simultaneously. The first prototype of the Bug was in 2003.

I know you're all thinking that this would be a fun little car to have sitting next to your XF. One Wiki comment is that a set of tires cost (only) $25K. However...they can only be installed in France and that costs $70K. Wonder what you're expected to tip the installer?
