I sure miss the old days when we just overcame weather. Now we have global waming, folks stay home for fear of getting stuck. And somebody else gets to take the blame for such laziness.

Meanwhile, Crumpy and I are here, enjoying the fruits of business ownership. 'Cause our work has to get done regardless.
Franc, I remember back in the early 60's, we had a huge winter storm. Finally took bull dozers to get the roads cleared. Anyway, my point is I remember my Dad leaving at 5 am to walk to work. It was 5 miles 1 way, but he could cut down the railroad track and make it a 4 mile walk. Snow drifts, cold and windy, and it worried this 7 yr old to death. We talked about that many years later, and I have had his work effort every since. After he retired and we were at his retirement party, many of the guys there stated they always looked up to ole' Doc, because there were workers who lived in town who couldn't make it to work. But ole' Doc did. Everyday for 30 yrs. Hard man to live up too, but we try everyday.
