Throttle Response/Traction Control Issues?
Hi all!
So, I'm here in lovely Chicago with a ton of snow and ice.
I tried getting my car out of my parking spot this morning and was pretty stuck. After putting some salt down behind the tires, I ended up getting out, but on the drive into work, I noticed that my throttle response was basically non-existent.
While backing out of my spot, the tires spun a few times and I had the traction control both on and off, but I did notice as I tried harder and harder to get out, it would take longer and longer for my tires to respond to the pedal.
As I was driving, first gear also responded in the same way. It took forever for the wheels to respond. I also tried manually in second gear as well as putting the "W" mode on. All gears seem to respond the same way, so I don't think it's a specific gear, but instead, my traction control is being overly cautious and not letting me drive.
I did a full throttle response in the parking lot as soon as I pulled into work, so we'll see how that goes, but can anyone offer any explanation as to what is going on? Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks again guys, and for all my Chicago Crossfire members, be careful and drive safe!
