I am confused as well. He did say they asked for the VIN, so presumably it was coded.
The 5099450AA and 5099541AA are in the parts manual and has one as export and the other domestic we would guess but are listed in parts departments as left and right.

There is a door lock module, it is the part with the latch that pops up and down and obviously one for the left door and one for the right door. It has the air/vacuum line going to it to operate the lock.


Strangely the guy in my u tube video above says the 509450AA which is the export# (50995540AA domestic) is the SKREEM unit which is Mercedes part# 170 820 18 26. The Siemens part# may be 5WK4 8698. I have one of them for interest and I recognize what he has in his hands, I doubt it is much use without programming.

There is a mix up in the part numbers somehow that's all I can say.
