Let's get this straight the # 170 820 18 26 is the Mercedes part number. The 170 is the Mercedes series car the part was first used on. The part has the Mercedes logo on it. There is another number on it,5WK4 8698 and that is probably the Siemens part number.
The part has written on it "Homologation see owner manual'. So some step is required to align it with the cars security system.
My previous post explains what I have gathered about the 5099540AA and 5099451 AA numbers, which left me confused.
