Not sure I'm going to dive into fixing, but replacing with a $30 used one would be nice. My understanding is people need a virgin one from Chrysler ($1000+?), plus the coding. If I'm right on what I think I could do, it'd be like $150 for my work, $30 for the module and the original, which I'd keep for the possibility of fixing.
As far as I see getting a module that works after sending away a failed one is called fixing.
There are reman shops that "fix" them.
