OneHundred80, your response was awesome. Back in the 'day,' 1968, when I was buying fuel filters for my 1966 Triumph, I would always buy the Bosch $6.00 part rather than the US $4.00 equivalent. This was an emotional choice rather than a financial choice. Now that I am retired, I always want to evaluate every dollar I spend. Saving $20.00 today could in ten years buy me 30 min of 2024 street parking in Chicago when visit my daughter. (Saving me a 2024 parking fine of $350.00) The US and China Can make awesome parts (or Crap).

Purolator is an old US company. Getting their parts from China? Maybe. I still want to know if anyone has experience with the Purolator part. Emotionally, Bosch Best. Realistically, Retired, Fixed income; was the extra money worth it?
