Default Re: Magnaflow Exhaust

So the exhaust is in - definitely a pain in the butt to get it installed with the body supports that the roadster has. I was lucky enough to get to do this on a lift - doing it on the ground would have been a TOTAL pain. I need to put it back up to do some final adjustments on the level of the tips, but overall I'm happy with two issues.

1 - It does indeed drone as others have mentioned. I notice it a lot when I'm in 6th gear on the freeway in light traffic, especially going uphill - when the engine is slightly below it's optimum power band - it gets REAL loud. I'm hoping it fades as others have suggested, otherwise I may look into dynamat in the trunk.

2 - It may just be because I don't have the tips perfectly level, but the little 'bend' in the rear pipe section vibrates against part of the body support at times. It's not a normal issue, but if I turn hard or hit a bump in the road I can hear it clanging. I'm hoping that an adjustment of the rear section clears that, otherwise I'll have to figure out a way to isloate the section to make sure it doesn't vibrate.

All things considered, it definitely gives the car a better growl and whether or not it adds anything to the pep. it makes me feel like I'm driving a more powerful car and sometimes that's all that matters.
