Forum rules are not applied equally
How is it that we have a member selling items for a profit in forums other than the one prescribed?
How is it that he has got away with it for so long without any of the other mods complaining or moving those threads to the one that is designated for that business?
It implies that there is one rule for mods and another for the those without any power to subject any post to censorship or that we are all at liberty to post items for sale in those same forums that this person uses.
Let's all post items for sale wherever we want and see how far that goes.
I have complained directly to mods and been told that it is up to this as yet unnamed moderator to move his selling threads to a suitable forum. The suitable forum according to the rules is the Vendor Classifieds, that would mean that a Forum Commercial sponsorship would have to be paid for. Maybe that is one of the reasons why no changes are made, that and some people do not wish to upset someone, that someone is of course the moderator ANDREW.
Maybe the complaint has to be made higher in chain of command. Maybe the complaint has to go to the owners who are not getting the extra money.
This vendor had a Crossfire but currently does not have one so the main interest is making money or he is doing it for the betterment of the forum. What do you think it is?
Following are the rules to posting in the classified forums
Private Classifieds
The "Private Classifieds" forum is for private sellers offering the sale of individual items. It is NOT for any person, company or business of any size or type (including salvage yards and used parts companies) to sell merchandise of any retail nature or to make a profit.
Vendor Classifieds
In order to post in this forum you must be a Forum Commercial Sponsor, or a Forum Super Commercial Sponsor. If you are not a commercial sponsor you will need to buy a sponsorship to create new threads in this section.
I would not care if the threads were moved to the Private Classifieds, but they should not be where they are now; this is taking advantage of the the power that mods have and bending the rules towards their own and that is just not right.
