[QUOTE=Steve - UK;786536]Hi Zak
The rear cats seem to be the most susceptible to failure, the two front ones seem to go on ok. Some owners have removed the rears rather than replace, and have found the car still passes our MOT emissions test without problems with just the fronts. The car was built to meet higher standards required of the USA market at the time. Ebay have replacement front sections for around 180.00 depending which side. Of course better to replace, but your choice. Good luck and keep us posted
Cheers

I realize that improved MPG is down to driving habits, but will removing the rear cats help to increase the MPG as there is less resistance in the exhaust system?
