The larger the caliper and rotor the more heat that can be radiated. Just because it's larger doesn't mean it stops shorter. Yes, you may get better brake feel and need less pressure on the pedal. So, before spending the thousands on something larger in size buy a brake pad that can handle the heat and the best fluid you can afford and keep it fresh through frequent bleeding. A track pad will make noise and dust a lot on the street so you may want a set of pads for the street and swap them for track pads for those racing days.
