Either one (4.6 or coyote) will probably necessitate trimming the shock towers (or installation of Mustang II) cause even though the Fairlane is an intermediate sized car the engine bay is pretty small.

I suggest looking a racingjunk and see if anyone is getting rid of a stroker.
