Two years is good for wiper blades I reckon. Rubber rots not because of the rain, usage helps but rubber deteriorates because of the atmosphere. Electric motors give of ozone and that rots rubber. If you have a fridge in the garage get rid of it, it ruins tires as well.
New silicone ones should last longer.
