Default Re: Nurburgring for Easter

Just as an update to this thread, I mentioned previously that videos have been banned on the Nurburgring for a while, and most of the video's you find are created by "novice drivers". However, I recently found a fairly recent and "sanctioned" video of an incredible run around the Nurburgring and the Nordschliffe by BMW test Driver Hans Stuck! I believe BMW owns the track.

For those not familiar with this track, it is actually two tracks. The Nurburing is the modern day Formula One track, built next to (attached) to the old Nurburing Nordschliffe formula one track. they are both dedicated circuits, so don't fear about the incredible closing and passing speeds, if they are on that track, they know what they are in for.

First lap and 3/4's is a warm up on the modern day track. Watch for a left hand turn on the second lap just after the chicane and look for small stalls/buildings on the right...this is the beginning of the Nordschliffe run. It is amazing. By his reaction, this was no "milk run". Enjoy! Turn up the sound, the audio is really good.

I would have posted this in the racing section but since it's in reference to Woody's post, I've put it here first. I'll post it again in Racing for HDDP and all the other XF racer kids. I really hope Woody gets to take his XF out for a run there and, if so, please give us all the details!
