I think most of the forum members take above average care of their cars. A well maintained car, in general, has few problems. Especially when the owner does preventive maintenance.
The problem with most owners is that they drive the crap out of the cars and skimp on maintenance to save money. How many drivers of leased cars do anything but minimal maintenance during the life of their lease? And lots of high-end cars get leased because the owners cannot afford to buy them but want to be seen driving them. Audis have a crappy reputation, and while mine has a few issues, it is still going strong at 227k miles. I blame the owners more than the vehicles.
PS - I do agree with the clunky 6-speed. It bothers me more than the console cup holder. I did have the tranny fluid changed, but it did not help much.
