No from what I know the 5w-40 blend is just used in temperate to warm climates. I believe the 0w-40 blend has a slightly better start when it's really cold outside. Do you guys think it was a bad idea to use the 5w-40?
I don't think I would use it in the winter, just to be safe, but for this climate you should be fine. Even in the winter, it may be perfectly fine. I wouldn't worry...
