I think the resistor takes care of more then just speed control of the blower. My 05 Limited wouldn't blow air no matter what speed was selected. I'd leave it on any speed and a few minutes later it would start up on it's own, but would remain at low speed no matter what speed was selected. Replaced the resistor with the one mentioned a couple of responses back and all is working perfectly. Might not hurt to try cause you're likely gonna need one sooner or later.
