Update:
I removed the 3-way valve that allowed me to bypass the two front heat exchangers when running ice water in the reservoir. I do not think it is necessary. I do not have equipment to datalog IC water temperature to show that though. The 3-way valve was in the way when I was installing the Needswings pulley saver kit, so I simply removed it.
