Meth injection has so many benefits. If you tune the car like it's going to run on race fuel, then add safety measure so that the only time you get race gas appropriate boost is when meth is flowing well, ( no holes in the lines, no kinks, leaks, or empty tank) it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

On the bmw TT 3.0 Liter platform, we could take a safe 14-15psi, and boost it to 18-19 with little or no risk of detonation.

Methanol also brought intake temps to ambient temp so benefits there as well.

Finally, it kept manifold squeaky clean! We had direct injection so carbon build up was a problem so anyone tuning that car that wasn't using methanol injection, wasn't really serious about getting the most out of their car.

Because fueling was a concern when adding so much boost, the methanol would provide additional octane to make the fueling part of tuning a bit easier to manage.
