Well the answer is that there is nothing stopping anyone from doing this with our cars - it just needs the time, money and the commitment to do it. I would quite happily start up a business doing something like this (MB V8 though) if I thought I could make a living at it, but I really don't believe there is the demand, definitely not over here, and probably not in the US. Sure, everyone says they would do it, but when it comes to actually laying out the cash it all goes very quiet - there were hardly a handful of people willing to pay $$ for a dyno run. If one is serious about doing this sort of thing, you just get on and do it. Just my .02
