Chrysler wrote the Service Bulletin/Warranty Extension, not the customers. They did this in 2011, over 2 years after the problem began, probably to avoid a potential recall from the NHTSA, in case anyone was ever physically injured. Since then, the NHTSA has turned a blind eye. The FTC basically said Chrysler's discriminatory policy is not worth their time or "resources". Our government in action?!? Waiting for Calif. Dept. of Consumer Affairs to answer why we & 40 other States got the shaft?!? Chrysler will not officially try to explain because they know there is No justification in fact. Looks like they are going to get away with it.
