Has anyone here tried cleaning out a catalytic converter. Now this would be for one that has restricted flow.

The reason is i have a 2011 with 103,000 miles, ford wants 2200 to replace. a muffler shop will replace it with oem part 660. I can buy oem part for about 300.00 comes with new exhaust manifold
