Default Interesting wheel repair

Get in the car last week, TPMS light is on. Front tire is low so I fill it up and found screw in tire. Go to the place where I have tires fixed and he plugs it. Next morning I start the car, the light's back on. Fill the tire and go back to the place tell him tire's not fixed. He pulls the wheel off and we put it in the water tub. Find a leak where the rim is cracked. About an inch extending from the lip for the bead to about a half inch inside the wheel. I figured I'd have to buy a new rim, he tells me he can glue it. I was skeptical but I let him go ahead. Cracks the tire off the bead and puts a glop of silicon sealant, the kind you'd use on a bathtub over the crack. Takes out a blow dryer and heats it up. Refills tire and puts back on the car. Been driving it a week and about 350 miles. No problems. Cost me $10.
