Default Cleaning/Conditioning steering wheel

Hey folks!

Just read through some threads on the forum about cleaning the steering wheel (leather portion). It seems there are split opinions on how to take care of it. Some say leather products like LEXOL strip off the color of the steering wheel and others say they use the same care care products they use on their leather seats.
I just came in from conditioning my seats with the LEXOL cleaner/conditioner and have been very happy with that product.
Should I just wipe the steering wheel with a damp cloth?

What's your take?
