You stated that you were going to do the brakes. We can just assume that you either found out that you needed to, or you wanted performance or pads that created less dust, etc. I agree about our having good brakes to begin with. Sounds like you can go quite a while longer before needing brakes. But a good idea to completely flush the brake fluid every 2 or 3 years. It could be that yours has never been changed; how old is your car now? It's especially important to change and keep the moisture out when you have an expensive ABS system like we do. Personally, I check brakes and do a fluid flush every spring with the good stuff.
