I guess Chryslers got to hit a home run very once in a while don't they? The funny thing is I bet more are bought by people they didn't expect in their demographic than they did. Real popular here in NY too and I bet most of them are purchased by people in their 40's or even older than that. I would have thought they would be big with kids but mine don't like them at all (other than the convertible). I see mostly people of my age driving them. I guess its like having the functionality of a wagon/SUV with the better gas mileage of a car. Not a bad choice. Probably why they're big in rental fleets as you suggest.
