The CPS of other makers do work, but some do not work as well as Bosch.
There has been a thought lately that the CPS problems may be related to poor contacts between the CPS and its plug. Pushing the connector on and off for a while may clean the contacts and an application of dielectric grease may make the contact good for some extra time. Worth a shot anyway
