That concerns me about headliners. I've read about the window falling out of roadsters, but not the headliner on coupes.
My XF stays inside unless it is driven. Since SoCal and Texas share the same sun, it is a bear on multiple parts of a car.
And, yes, trees do offer nice shade, but they also have birds who live there, and I swear, they poop on cars just because they can.

Awhile back there were several cases of falling headliner, This is something a reasonably competent individual can do at home. Do a search, there are several descriptions of the process. I didn't have a falling headliner, mine had a hole in it and it came out great.
