The degree of outward position is somewhat nominal. These are DRLs which are not lighting the road but are just for drawing attention during daylight hours. My Osrams have a large enough lens area to be noticed at slight angles.

FYI...mine are wired straight to the battery and are fed through a module that allows the lamps to turn on when the car starts. They can also be wired through the module to turn off when the headlights are turned on, but I have them on all the time the cars running.
