The car isn't "quiet" for all the reasons stated (low to ground, close to wheels, small cabin, etc.) However, when it's noisey it's usually the tires you need to check first. My PS2's I ran for over 28K miles. They were quiet up until about 20K. Then, it became quite loud. Once I replaced them, it became a different car. I have Michelin Super Sports on now (one year old) and they have about 4K miles on them. Still a good ride and no significant tire noise.
