It has a F1 style trans. A clutch (2) that the brain shifts when you hit the paddles. Since a clutch job is 4k-5k (not that I would pay that), I would prefer my SRT6 trans. It shifts just as fast and doesn't run through clutches. I was a little disappointed by the Maserati forums. Those guys aren't the "motorheads" we Crossfire guys are. They pretty much discuss what mechanic they're taking it to. Maybe they have some tech heads but I haven't found them yet.
