Two things:
1) The XFs other than the base model (do you have an '04, Limited, or SRT ?) have a seperate power amplifier in the passenger floorboards. It sounds like this has either lost power or the connector is un (unlikely).
2) I use Blue Magic Headlight Sealer (not restorer) on both the Jeep and the XF about monthly. My cars also live in a garage. Sunlight affects plastic.

ps anyone know why the link button does not work with IE 11 ? Seems like for many things I need to use FireFox.
