I was thinking the same thing, the crossfire isn't a fast mover on the resale market, although a lot of us here think that may change in the future, especially with an SRT6. I can only imagine selling one when you're knee deep in snow. I recently did the same thing as you are thinking. I had an older (1998) BMW 528i, it was a clean car, my old car given to my daughter, she graduated from UCI and I gave her a new CNG Civic, and had this sitting in my shop for the past two years, edging 180k miles with not much of a resale value. I saw a 75k mile Crossfire nearby on Craig's list and noticed it had been on the market for a long time, he had dropped his price from 9k to 8 and then 7. I called him and offered my Beemer and 2k for the Crossfire. He wanted 4k difference and I passed. Two months later, he called and asked if my offer was still good, I said yes and now have two Crossfires. He was trying to sell it - undetailed with the key acting up, small wonder it didn't sell. He wanted a bigger car and now has one that will fit his needs. Trading is great when it works out for both parties.
