I use Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner and it works really well.

It smells awful, though (like perm chemicals, apparently, because it's based on the same compound).

Goes on green, turns a crazy blood color, and washes off clean. Unless your wheels are incredibly dirty it'll come off with just a high pressure spray, without even needing a brush.
