I think I have to go down this road again... You bought a "NEW" '04 nine months ago, which was probably built nearly two years before that. It was probably sitting in the rain, snow, salt air and sun unmaintained and exposed to all the elements that are destructive to anything mechanical or electronic.

Do you think they put the car in some nice hermetically sealed garage while it sat waiting for a buyer ? Sorry to sound rude, but your electrical problems may be the least of your worries... I would bet the connectors are corroded from salt air and moisture.

Do you think a TV would work after sitting on a dock for a year in the elements ?
