Looks like taking the route of 63/412/62 north of Memphis lets us have a little fun before we get to the event hotel. I've been on 63 from Columbia, MO down to Rolla, MO. Road is a lot different now than when I drove it "way back when". Ozark roadways have always been a hoot to drive!
Stay down on 60to come across the bottom of MO. Nice four lane with good scenery.
For an interesting but longer time drive go 160 or 14 across the state.
14 is a hoot with long straights and hairpin turns now and again. It goes thru some fine Ozarks woods and pastures. Small towns will slow you down. Just west of AVA MO is Pilot Mountain. My ranch is some where on it's southern face at county Highway "0"
All along the southern part of MO are roads comparable to those we love in North Carolina. Have fun.
