You are not having a good week. Not sure if you are close to St. Louis where a lot of crazy XF owners live and would love to help you out in person, but if not, my guess is you created a short somewhere in your install. Something touching something it shouldn't be. As for the key, you must have either broken something inside, or caused the battery not to be making contact for power. I would re-trace your steps in your install, maybe pulling bulbs out and re-installing for a start. The key, will need carefully pried apart and examined.
