Yes, some have used the LEDFIX guys with success.
First, I would remove the light and connect it to a 12v source ( WITH THE CORRECT POLARITY )
to ensure that the light, not the wiring / control is at fault.
( or you could just meter the plug to the light to see if 12v shows up on the + lead when the car is running and the brake pedal is pushed )
