You've experienced brake line failure "many times"? It is not a common occurrence. How many miles on your car? "30 to 45 seconds"? Do not keep driving your car until you fix your brake system. I agree with the previous post about your master cylinder.
I only had the brakes fail on the crossfire that one time, it was not the brake lines. Now that I check the pin often it hasn't happened again.
On other cars I drove I had the brake lines fail on me. It has been at least 5 times, always on a different car. Those cars all had really high miles and were driven in New England during the winter, so lots of water and salt cover the car for months at a time. Eventually the lines rust through and burst when you hit the pedal hard enough.
