Re: Audi Owner making a switch?
I have a Sapphire. It looks silver when viewed in the bright sunshine, but light blue with a hint of gun metal in more subdued light. I demoed a TT and a Thunderbird before buying the Crossfire. The TT was fantastic, but the uneven power band was not to my taste. About a second after hitting the gas, it felt like a bomb went off. By stark contrast, the Ford felt like a Crown Vic with a waterbed in the trunk.
For me, the Crossfire is juuust right. Lots of quiet torque, as predictable as a ten-year-old quarter horse. Once in a while, I wish it was faster, but having MB's best 6-banger (normally aspirated) gives me peace of mind that this car will survive the note, and that I'll still want it in the driveway.
I love the six speed.
This car has a unique personality; I wouldn't trade it for anything.
