TMU is worse than a rebuilt or salvage title in my opinion. I imagine it would offer the same complications as to resale, financing and insuring. There certainly would be confusion as to what preventive maintenance is needed when.

I have seen near cosmetically flawless cars with in excess of 250K but wear is wear and value is value. One in particular comes to mind that was used by a dealer to crisscross the nation going to auctions. It would seem in today's world of so much computerized in our cars that unless a strong effort was made to obfuscate the mileage history would be there locked away electronically.


But I am at a disadvantage in needing to pay others to do my mechanical work. I do recognize miles mean less to some than to others, however.
