Update! I changed out the cabin filter and cleaned the blower motor area (Yes! There was debris there). While getting up close and personal with the carpet (changing out the filter), I did notice a very strong, related odor. I'm guessing a previous post referring to Germany's use of a certain foam-backed carpet, is the culprit. Oh, well! New filter and cleaned out blower-motor area is a plus. Again, thanks to the forum for all the help and insight. peace
