This topic has been talked about many times and I'm sure others can toss in some more reasons as to way the Crossfire did not sell well. One thing for sure, it was not because of any major manufacture's defects.

My opinion as to why the Crossfire didn't sell well, in no particular order:

- Built on an old platform and outdated technology
- Originally a little over priced ($35,000 for a Limited)
- Lack of advertising and poor marketing
- Competition from better known brands in an already tight specialty car market
- It being a Mercedes-Benz being sold and serviced by Chrysler

For the money (especially at today's discounted prices) the Crossfire is a unique one of a kind car that you don't see at every stoplight… an affordable exotic. It seems to be a love it or hate it kind of thing, and for most of us here... we love it.
