Re: r/h reversing light
cojoman, So far I have found that the manual I have (on a cd) says. right hand back up light is fed from fuse 4 the l/h/ back up light is fed from fuse 3 . these are located in the illumination control module. This is the fusel board located on the end of the dash board left hand end for l/h/drive cars and on the r/h end of the dash board for r/h/drive cars, the r/h/drive cars (which is what I have) only uses one fuse for the both (no 12 from memory ) The circuit diagram for the lights does not show the reversing light switch which is mounted on the top of the gear box, so I have disregarded this circuit. I have gone no further as to get to this switch I have to work out how to? I find it hard to believe there would be 2 separate supply's to the reversing lights on the r/h/drive cars as this would mean either 2 reversing switches or a double contact switch. I actually have disregarded this circuit diagram, I think my fault is an open circuit from the reversing switch to the r/h light.. I have been looking at a spare wheel as I am not too happy with out one ( it can be a long wait for a tow truck to come out in the middle of woop-woop) so far I have found the v/w golf mark 5,6,7 fit I have had the centre bore machined out and the wheel fits perfectly, I have tried it and have driven with it on the front so far and every thing is ok can use my existing studs ok brakes are not effected, (should not be as there is only about 10mm difference in diameter) next it to try the rear But that will be next week.. Also it so far complies for track, weight designation, in the Australian design rules Sorry I cant be of any better help .( I have chases a Mercedes space saver wheel in Australia whith no luck I could import one FROM THE USA OR England IF I DID WHAT DO I DO IF IT DOES NOT FIT ALSO THE COST IS QUITE EXPENSIVE( saltiga
