I know the guy at Pep Boys probably knows as much about the Mercedes engine in our cars, as alot of D/C techs do. (Which is about ZERO) so stick with what is recommended by the factory. 0W-40 Mobil 1.
Auto Zone and Wal Mart usually has it in stock. Sorry I can't tell you what the dealer charges, because I do all my own oil changes. But if you want to try it yourself, don't worry about it, it's super easy to do (and alot cheaper I'm sure).
