Re: longest running member
Punkin - First of all If I had the money back in June of '03 I'd have bought the Crossfire off the showroom floor...the dealer wanted $37,000 FIRM. So don't feel bad. I saw the car for the first time and my heart just melted. I was there to buy a Turbo PT. The salesman made the mistake of letting me sit in the Crossfire. I took home a shiny new GT Cruiser but the burn was always there for the Crossfire. Took a long time to find the right deal but last summer it finally came to pass. In my travels to get a deal I met some sales reps that didn't have a clue and a few that actually knew what they were selling, it was the same with the PT's I owned. As for the insurance company not knowing what you had, that doesn't surprise me. I sell insurance and I get asked all the time who makes a (insert the car of your choice). By and large only some of the older agents know what car is what. Unless you have a car nut like me for an agent most of them are clueless.
I don't know who's been here the longest but I know this place has been a huge help in understanding my car and the few problems I've encountered so far. Enjoy your car and I hope you are doing well.
